If you have a 1998 to 2004 Mercedes-Benz
Here is how to determine your service intervals:
The flexible Service System in your Mercedes-Benz automatically tells you when your vehicle should be taken in for regular maintenance. The system determines it's service intervals based on how you drive your Mercedes, not just how far. In general the average mileage between service intervals is usually 10,000 to 13,000 miles. It keeps track of several variables, including:
- Engine temperature
- Engine speed
- Time elapsed since your last service
- Vehicle speed
- Distance driven
- Oil condition
Here is how to determine your service intervals:
The service interval is every 13,000 miles. It is simple as that!
Your vehicle will alert you well ahead of time that a maintenance service is impending, with a count down of the days and miles. At Maplewood Imports - we suggest to perform an oil and filter change in-between your service intervals for a measure of extra protection. Please see your Service Advisor for details or questions.
Flexible Service "A" all vehicles: $169.00 - Drain and fill your engine with Mercedes approved Mobil 1 synthetic oil & install a new factory oil filter
- Check operation of horn, turn signals, warning signals, windshield washer system, indicator lamps, interior lighting and exterior lighting.
- Inspect brake pads and condition of front and rear brake rotors
- Inspect tire for damage and condition & adjust tire pressure
- Check radiator and hoses for leakage - perform an anti-freeze protection test
- Check and correct engine compartment fluid levels
- Lubricate catch on engine hood, safety catch and hinges
- Check battery condition and adjust fluid level & perform a Midtronics battery check
- Reset flexible service system counter
Flexible Service "B" starting at $305.00- Drain and fill your engine with Mercedes approved Mobil 1 synthetic oil & install a new factory oil filter

Brake fluid flush and fill $79.95
During
the operation of the vehicle, the brake fluids boiling point is
continually reduced through the absorption of atmospheric moisture.
This moisture content can lead to the formation of vapor under hard
braking conditions, reducing the system's efficiency. Mercedes-Benz
recommends replacing your brake fluid every two years.- Flush contaminated fluid from the brake system
- Clean brake fluid reservoir
- Inspect brake system for leaks and refill with Mercedes-Benz approved brake fluid
Cooling system Service $89.95
Recommended
at three year intervals to ensure proper cooling during the summer
months and a safe level anti-freeze protection during the winter months.- Pressure test cooling system and cap
- Drain and flush the system (including engine block and heater core)
- Replenish the cooling system with Mercedes-Benz approved anti-freeze for -25 degrees
- Includes one gallon of anti-freeze

Rotate and Balance Special $39.95
As tires wear normally they may become out of balance, causing vehicle vibration and accelerated tire wear. We recommend tire balancing at every other tire rotation to ensure a smooth ride and even tire wear.
- Computer balance four wheels using Mercedes-Benz weights, clips and springs to ensure proper balancing without damage to wheel surface
- Check brake pad and rotor condition
- Check Hydraulic strut condition
- Perform road test
